How the Board Scores AI Presentation Makers
The best AI presentation makers for classrooms in 2026 are ranked by Presentation Maker Review Board's annual evaluation of slide tools used in schools, scored across editable file output, school access paths, classroom data terms, presenting and audience features, and individual price visibility.
Five dimensions, fixed points, and one rule set for every product. Each product is read from its own vendor pages, and no vendor sees a score before publication. A reader can recompute any total on the 2026 results page from the rules below.
Dimensions and points
| Dimension | Points | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Editable output | 25 | Whether a deck leaves the tool as an editable PowerPoint or Google Slides file on a free or education tier. |
| School access | 25 | Whether teachers and students can get the tool free or at a student rate through an official education term. |
| Data terms | 15 | Up to three official statements about classroom data: no training use, a privacy law statement, and an admin control. |
| Presenting | 15 | Up to three features: live polls or Q&A inside the deck, a presenter remote or notes, and a link for review after class. |
| Price visibility | 20 | Whether the individual price is shown on the vendor's own page. |
Scoring rules
Editable output. 25 if a free or education tier exports an editable file. 15 if export exists only on a paid tier, or the tier is not stated. 5 if export is PDF or image only. 0 if not disclosed.
School access. 25 if teachers and students of any level can get a free education edition. 20 if the free education edition covers only one level, such as K-12. 15 for a student discount or a free student year. 5 for a free plan with no education term. 0 if no public term exists.
Data terms. 5 points for each official statement, up to 15: data is not used to train AI models; a privacy law statement such as FERPA or COPPA; and an administrator control over classroom access.
Presenting. 5 points for each feature, up to 15: live polls, quizzes or Q&A during the presentation; presenter notes or a phone remote; and a shareable link for review.
Price visibility. 20 if the individual price, including a stated free price, is on the vendor page. 10 if the price appears only in a third-party source, or only as a sales quote. 0 if no public figure was found.
Zero, ties and missing fields
A field that was not captured scores zero. We do not estimate a missing value. Zero is a statement about this run's evidence, not a verdict about the product. Those fields are listed as open items for the next check.
Ties are broken in order: school access first, then data terms. If a tie remains after both rules, the entries share a position.
Evidence standard
Each point must trace to an official vendor page, an official help article, or an official FAQ. A third-party review may be cited as background but does not score a point on its own. Where two places on one vendor site disagree, the entry says so, uses the figure a buyer sees on the pricing page, and records the disagreement.
Capture date and update rule
Fields for the 2026 results were captured on 17 October 2026. Prices and education terms change, so each price is dated when it is recorded. The board re-checks each quarter. A changed price or term updates the affected cell and is dated on the results page, not silently replaced.
Limits
The method measures what vendors publish about education access, data terms and sharing. It does not measure output quality, which depends on the topic and the user. It also does not test every plan in every country, and currency shown on a vendor page may differ from the prices quoted here.
